So looking through the most recent jewellery I’ve made, also the thread artwork I’ve done in the past, I see a recurring colour theme that I think stems back to this trip in particular, most of the images I took have this contrasting oran Mixed media earrings copper, glass & enamel, with gold plated ear wires. I was so surprised but loved the idea that these earrings just sparkle so much. Hopefully with sunnier times imminent these earrings are like a 241 pair 😂 Not many students in today so used the time to experiment with some new techniques really rough and ready but love the colours and I get to use the kiln. But after my post yesterday and the lovely comments I kind of (loosely) went with similar colours to the Sagrada door. I still will do the black soon as I think The beautiful Nativity Façade of the Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudi. The bronze ‘gate’ was actually created by Japanese sculptor Etsuro Sotoo.
