Posed is an installation responding to site, that of life drawing classes, the building and its architectural quirks. Movement around the space is encouraged as is that of participation.
The work, addresses the viewer at a primary level, giving rise to an immediacy when confronted with the threads, at times disorientation will cause a reaction and a need to re-evaluate ones self awareness within the work. This reaction is in a sense a removal of the hierarchical barriers between the artwork and the viewer.
This work sees a trajectory of performance on the opening night and thereafter the removal of the life model will allow for audience to be challenged by the absence with only an imprint of body to be guided by to visualise the invisible presence of what was once in place.
